Quick way to print slides
without background graphics:

  1. Select the Pharos print queue/printer

  2. Select a range of slides to print

  3. Choose type of printout -- handout, slides, notes, outline
  4. (When choosing handouts, indicate how many per page)

  5. Choose Black and White (this will make printing clear for gray font documents)

  6. Optional - Scale to fit paper and/or frame handouts

  7. Preview printout to be sure this is correct

  8. Click the OK button

 

 

Save your work before logging off using:

USB flash drive
Google Docs
H: drive
E-Mail it to yourself

Files saved on the IC and Pods computers are deleted when you log off to stop others from accessing them.




Binghamton’s Virtual Desktop Environment (FAQ)


Virtual Desktop at Binghamton University is accessed via the link www.bingview.binghamton.edu. It provides on-campus/off-campus access to statistical packages such as SPSS, STATA, SAS, as well as Atlas.Ti, NVivo, Pro Engineer, Matlab, and Mathematica.

Please use Internet Explorer while connecting to Virtual Desktop. You will use your Pod userid and Pod password to connect to the PODS domain. In the event you are unable to connect, try loading the latest version of Java from java.com.

To access Virtual Desktop from your personal laptop or from off-campus, you will first need to dowload the VMware Client.
